biography

Joy is a London born and bred singer-songwriter with true star appeal.Combining her diverse vocal range with a distinct pianist style, she creates songs so melodically and lyrically moving that they are haunting in their beauty.

With musical influences from such great singer-songwriters as Kate Bush, Tori Amos, Joni Mitchell and Sarah McLachlan, but always with her own unique musical imprint, it is not surprising that with her piano/guitar led 'chic pop' (Alex Jones-Donelly, Radio 1's Head of Music) and musical talent she has been described as 'Kate Bush for 'the Noughties'.

Joy's highly anticipated forthcoming debut album 'Saint For A Sinner' was recorded and produced during 2006 by Rupert Cobb (Kasabian, Snow Patrol, Damien Rice, Ray LaMontagne) and is the result of years of honing her craft.

Of her early love for music Joy says, "My Dad says that I was dancing before I could walk and singing before I could talk! I think he means I was dancing on his knee and making some humming noises but I do vividly remember being very moved by music from a young age."
